Sorry, it was my fault to be 100 years off on the yacht :-(

Very interesting that the four ex-Finnish Osa II fast minelayers are operational. So they are used as fast minelayers now, or have they been equipped with missiles again?

You could very well be right on the Crestitalia MV70 boats since there are no pictures of them available and the photo in Combat Fleets is from 1980.

/PerPer Nordenbergnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3064462751833591182.post-27196073750512571552012-03-15T14:33:30.508+01:002012-03-15T14:33:30.508+01:00hello Mike ,
just another quick comment...hello Mike ,
just another quick comment , regarding the ex-Serbian/Montenegrin
Osa-1s and 4 ex-Finnish mod Osa-2s , they are all operational and were shown
active in recent naval exercises . Regarding the ssn-3c missiles , they are supplementing , not replacing the coastal defence Otomats .
it is very doubtful the Crestitalia MV70 coastal patrol craft are in
service , as they were NEVER shown in ANY media , in contrast to all the other
naval and coast guard vessels .
there is also a Hurreya3 , 7700gt Ro-Ro transport vessel which ,
together with the other 2 Hurreya transports , belong to the army .
the El Horreya yacht , ex-khedivial El Mahroussa , was built in 1865
not 1965 .
best regards again , FouadAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3064462751833591182.post-42738598572178878652012-03-13T21:07:30.109+01:002012-03-13T21:07:30.109+01:00According to CF 2009-10 there are three batteries ...According to CF 2009-10 there are three batteries of Border Guard Otomat truck mounted SSMs (two twin launchers each) (sorry Mike, missed these). The question is, do the SSC-3C batteries from Serbia/Montenegro supplement or replace the Otomat batteries?

Regarding the Osa fleet CF says it is unclear whether the ex-Yugoslav and ex-Finnish craft are to have an operational role or to be used as spares.

/PerPer Nordenbergnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3064462751833591182.post-76603950419674750232012-03-13T16:18:37.014+01:002012-03-13T16:18:37.014+01:00hello Mike ,
